United States v. Duncan (Federal Weapons Charge)

November 2013

Outcome: Dismissed, client released

Case conclusion: November, 2013

Description: Client charged with illegal possession and transport of firearms across state lines. The client was found to be insane at the time of the offense and was ruled to be incompetent to stand trial. The government attempted to have client forcibly medicated in order to render him competent to stand trial. I fought to preserve my client's right to refuse medication. After over a year of litigation, the government had to dismiss the case and the client was released.
