Commonwealth v. J.A. - PWID Drugs REDUCED to Misdemeanor - NO JAIL TIME

February 2016

Client was arrested in a hotel room after a questionable entry and search by law enforcement. In client's possession were multiple bags of a controlled substance, resulting in felony charges of possession with intent to distribute. Missing from the equation were large amounts of currency, scales, or other incidents of distribution. Ms. Harris hired a private investigator, caught government witnesses in telling misleading statements at court, and challenged the entry and search. As a result of this aggressive campaign, the client gratefully accepted a resolution of a MISDEMEANOR possession charge for a nominal FINE - NO jail time, NO probation, NO community service.
